The Joy of the Lord

Scripture art for Nehemiah 8:10, says, "for the joy of the Lord is your strength"

When we hear the word joy, it often sounds like something meant for better days. Days without pain, uncertainty, or exhaustion. When illness enters our lives, joy can feel distant, even unrealistic. And yet, through His Word, God reminds us again and again that joy is not dependent on our circumstances. It is rooted in something much deeper.

When our days are long and our strength has run out, how can we possibly keep going?

Scripture gives us this promise: “The joy of the Lord is your strength.” Nehemiah 8:10

If our strength comes from joy, then where do we find that joy?

Psalm 16:11 gives us the answer:“You make known to me the path of life; in Your presence there is fullness of joy; at Your right hand are pleasures forevermore.”

God is where the joy is.

When we worship, pray, moan, or simply sit in silence with God, we begin to experience a joy that can only come from Him. And when we find this joy, we find the strength to endure whatever this life may bring.

At Shine Aesthetics and Wellness, we see this often, and it never ceases to amaze us. When people slow down, breathe deeply, and invite God into their healing, something shifts. Not always immediately or physically, but deeply and spiritually.

Joy is not found in a life without suffering. It is found in the deep peace that comes from trusting that God’s strength is enough to carry us through it.

Jesus reminds us of this truth when He says:“I have told you these things so that in Me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart. I have overcome the world.”John 16:33

Please do not miss this. Jesus has already won the victory.

So worship when you do not feel like it.Praise Him when your life feels like it is falling apart.Stop and pray when your mind will not slow down.Moan, cry out, or sit in silence with God when you do not know what to say.

When we spend time with God, we experience His joy. And when we have the joy of the Lord, we come to know the strength of our God.

At Shine Aesthetics and Wellness, we honor the sacred connection between faith and wellness. We believe God cares deeply about your health, your peace, and your joy. And we believe that even in seasons of illness, your life can still reflect His light.

A Gentle Encouragement

If you are walking through a hard season today, I pray you know this. God is with you. He sees you. He is holding you, body, mind, and spirit.

“The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.”Psalm 34:18

Breathe. Relax. And come as you are.

We are honored to walk alongside you on your wellness journey, supporting your health, encouraging your faith, and helping you find joy, one day at a time.
